National Wills Week – Attorneys Writing Wills for Free
National Wills Week will be held from 17 to 21 September 2018 and participating attorneys will be drafting free wills nationwide – view infographic. This is an opportunity that all South Africans can benefit from, and CANSA encourages those affected by cancer to take advantage of this offer.
Says Elize Joubert, CANSA CEO: “Although it is widely known that cancer is not necessarily a death sentence, it is important for patients to be able to focus completely on treatment and for loved ones to focus on support, without any additional concerns or anxiety. Having a last will and testament finalised, helps to bring peace of mind to both patients and loved ones, so that all energy may be directed towards fighting the disease. CANSA therefore encourages those affected by cancer to make use of the opportunity that National Wills Week provides.”
Benefits of having a will include: ensuring your inheritances go to the loved ones you intend on benefitting; protecting your children’s inheritance from the Government Guardian’s Fund; ensuring that your wishes are carried out; saving on estate duty with proper planning and appointing professionals to execute your Estate and manage the Testamentary Trust thereafter.
Should anyone wish to leave a bequest to CANSA, in order to enable future sustainability of care and support offerings to those affected by cancer, they may find more information on this web page or email email@example.com
