Fundraising Events & Projects
This year, International Tekkie Tax Day will be celebrated on Friday, 31 May 2019 and CANSA invites the public to be ‘Tekkie-tized’ and ‘Mezzz-merized’ in aid of CANSA’s education programmes to lower cancer risk, and care & support programmes for those affected by cancer! Stickers (R10), tattoos (R10) and ‘hickies’ or multi-coloured silicone shoelaces (R40) are available at CANSA Care Centres countrywide. We invite the public to learn about cancer screening offered through our CANSA Care Centres when they purchase their kit, as early detection is key, in order to diagnose cancer in its initial stages, for a better treatment outcome.

Sing, dance, act or model for a worthy cause – the fight against cancer. This year we are scouting for YOU in Mpumalanga, Gauteng and Free State. Follow our Facebook Page and see when and where we will be at a Shopping Centre near you!

CANSA wishes to convey our heartiest congratulations on Sanlam’s 100 years of success. We are proud to be a partner of Sanlam over the past 26 years and so appreciate Sanlam’s ongoing sponsorship towards the Sanlam Cancer Challenge (SCC). In 2017 the SCC helped raise a total of R4.2 million – the most successful year since the annual tournament began in 1993 and which will be used by CANSA to fund its unique integrated service that involves research, education and support.

If you buy one book this year, it should be this one – “Life is Beautiful” bears a cover image of a butterfly, a symbol that was selected by CANSA as it is symbolic of transformation and metamorphosis. It is filled with lifestyle and health advice, recipes, anecdotes and daily living inspiration that will be invaluable to those fighting cancer, or aiming to live a cancer-free life through making healthy choices and being medically responsible through regular screening and medical advice.
