This year at the CANSA Relay I took part as a student volunteer from the Unigrad College. The event was really a moving and life-changing experience.
Most of us see people going through the fight against Cancer and losing to it. But then when the survivors were honored, it gave each of us hope that one day a cure would be found.
The moment we took to commemorate our lost loved-ones brought us all together and I believe it is a moment that many were able to use to make peace and release.
I love Rona Labuschagne (Lowveld Branch in Nelspruit) very much. She helped my husband George and I to cope with and understand his three terminal cancers. After George was boarded from Agnes Mine and we had to leave it was heart wrenching to say goodbye to them all there, especially Rona. Thank you Rona for your caring heart and support. Love and biggest hugs, Lindy (sorry but George passed away in 2005).
