Rutherford–Makita Supports CANSA Breast Cancer Screening and Education
Makita recently handed over a cheque for R15 000.00 to Elize Joubert, Acting CEO of the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA). This donation will be used for the ongoing breast cancer screening, education and support.
“In today’s world we all seem to find ourselves touched by cancer in one way or another and it seemed the logical choice to link our Makita limited edition Pink Tool Promotion to CANSA and the amazing work that they do,” says Jean-Pierre Du Plessis – Marketing Manager for Makita. The money was raised through the sale of a limited edition Makita Pink 10.8V Lithium-Ion Cordless Drill Driver Promotion that ran during the month of May this year and Makita would like to thank everyone who has made this donation possible.

Makita donated R100.00 from the price of this drill driver to CANSA towards breast cancer screening and education.
The pink lightweight and compact Makita drill driver will make short work out of tightening screws in hard to reach places such as cupboard door hinges and handles, putting screws into craft projects and countless other tasks in and around your home and office.
The promotion was valid from mid April until the end of May 2015.
