The beautiful surroundings of Die Akker, outside Pretoria, created the perfect ambience of a cozy, country atmosphere for the Cuppa for CANSA hosted by Mrs. South Africa finalist for 2013, Leona Erasmus.

This venue, graciously sponsored by Mrs. Marietjie Scholtz, was perfect because Leona decided on an intimate guest list, providing room for personal interaction in a more informal environment.

Cancer survivor and a former guest at the Tipuana CANSA Care Home, Mrs. Petra van Wyk was a guest speaker sharing her experience about the incredible service CANSA Gauteng North offers the community, where she still volunteers her services.

Local businesses, including Jenne Beattie from Fifth Avenue Collection; the artist, Petro van Graan; Leoni van der Walt from SimpLee Photography; Donovan Porter from WEC Projects and Natasha Stander from Energetix; had exciting exhibitions and donated a percentage of their sales to CANSA Gauteng North.

A fashion extravaganza created colour and feminine flair displaying ranges from beautiful evening wear to comfortable day wear provided by the well known designer, Marthinus Moll and designer wear from LA Rose.

The dynamic and inspirational, Leona concluded the proceedings by sharing her dream as a Mrs. South Africa finalist. Leona makes an incredible Mrs. South Africa representative because of her passion for her community, especially those in need. She is a very successful business woman, who runs her own charities and stands firmly for what she believes in.

The hosts at each table sponsored wonderful eats and drinks for the guests to enjoy. Leona warmed the hearts of her guests with freshly prepared soup, which reflected a true Winter Cuppa for CANSA that created the perfect setting for the CANSA message and the importance of fighting cancer together.

Leona is totally dedicated to CANSA Gauteng North and makes weekly visits to the CANSA Care Centre providing support to all our projects. We are truly blessed with such an amazing woman.

Leona raised over R8700 for CANSA Gauteng North and we would like to thank Leona, her hosts, exhibitors and sponsors, as well as everybody who helped arrange this very special Cuppa for CANSA.
