CANSA’s Pink Trees Campaign Funds Used to Support Those Affected by Cancer

‘Midlands Herald’ recently posted an article on their front page in response to CANSA’s Pink Trees campaign earlier in the year.

The editor neglected to mention how CANSA is using the money raised to provide care and support to those affected by cancer in the local community.

Says Lisa Strydom, CANSA’s Divisional Manager KZN, “The article refers to the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) and states that “probably very little” has been accomplished with the money now that the Pink Trees campaign is over, however, CANSA was not given the opportunity to explain how the money was used. We were disappointed that we were not contacted for comment prior to publication of this article.
