CANSA TLC camp helps children cope with parent’s cancer
CANSA-TLC hosted its first camp for children who have a parent that’s been diagnosed with cancer at Adventure Peaks in Pretoria.
The goal of the camp was to have fun in a stress-free environment, to support the children and to help them cope with their parent’s illness and to equip them with life skills. It was great to see how the children connected with each other and how much it meant to them when they realised that they are not the only ones affected by cancer.
This camp will be conducted annually. For more information, please contact the CANSA office in Pretoria: 012-3293036.
